2024年5月28日 · Fallout: Tactics stray away a bit from the standard Fallout formula in the regard that Gifted is no longer the best trait, a combination of Fast Shot + Kamikaze is... but you might need to cut a lot of corners to make that work. Dump CHA, it's pretty much useless. Tag all weapon skills and have at least INT 7 (without Gifted), you'll need it.

2021年6月19日 · Fallout Tactics tried to straddle the line between turn-based and real time but I don't think it fully succeeded: you will want to mainly play it in turn-based mode except to get into combat and perhaps launch a devastating opening ambush. But modelling soldier vs soldier gunfights really exposes the limitations of IGO-UGO turn-based approach.

Out of FO1, FO2, and FO tactics, tactics has the best combat, but has the weakest role-playing elements. Tactics does take advantage of the same character system the 1st and 2nd game use, so it has some role-playing and makes good use of the same character skill. It is focused mainly on combat missions with subobjectives/optional objectives though.

2016年7月6日 · I noted in the introduction that I included info from games that are considered non-cannon. For the mid-western section of the map I used the lore from Fallout Tactics, I know there is contradictory information in latter games but if I ignored Tactics and only used the few small hints in later games it would be a very boring section of the map.
