2018年1月20日 · So Good Time is my favorite movie of 2017. The atmosphere, the music, the camerawork, the acting, and everything was all fantastic. Also, ending has stuck with me for a while now. Connie is arrested, he clears Nick of any charges, and Nick's grandmother puts him back into the development program, where he finally starts to participate.

2018年1月15日 · definitely not negative. it’s supposed to be happy. the dude is on a better path. whether you rooted for him or not, connie was a scumbag, he was selfish, a thief, a criminal, he fucked over other people for his own gain. his motivations were selfish through out the entire film. him doing time for his brother is the most selfless redeeming act he could have done, and he did.

2021年7月22日 · It's funny cause I saw Good Time first, then some weeks later, Uncut Gems, and GT definitely felt like a prototype for the type of story UG told. The frenetic energy that the movies capture from the perspective of "The Hustle" is so goddamn amazing.

2021年8月17日 · So I decided to watch Good Time tonight to wind down after a stressful day at a new job. not a good film to relax. I love gritty, dark crime films so the content wasn’t shocking but this was Uncut Gems levels of anxiety - things just get worse and worse! Robert Pattinson killed it. Amazing film, but the music let it down?

One of the features I enjoyed was the scriptwriters seemed to make it a rule that each person who Connie interacted with would have their life ruined normally a rule like that would make a film stiff and predictable, but in this case it added an element of fatalism that I really appreciated.

2023年4月16日 · This is my interpretation of Good Time’s ending. Ray was trying to get into another apartment unit but he fell to his death. When Connie sees Ray’s death, this is the shock and realization of how toxic Connie is and how he is always the cause of harm to those around him. In the cop car, he’s wide eyed as this realization sinks in.
