2021年1月30日 · Cedric was just steps away from grabbing the Triwizard Cup when he was willing to give it up and let Harry win, because he believed Harry deserved to win for saving him. Cedric was good and honorable, and what the Cursed Child did to him is unforgivable.

But also, the resulting trauma of watching an innocent and kind person like Cedric die right in front of him because of the same evil that took his family away from him is part of the drive that motivated Harry to want to reassemble the Order in the fifth book. So I guess Cedric’s death serves a larger purpose in the long run.

Honestly you could have done a really interesting story about why Cedric became a death eater. but cursed child did a poor job of it I mean if voldemort had won during the first war then cedric would have grown up in that kind of world and with Cedric's character traits he could have grown into a loyal supporter of the worlds new order
