Joseph Ryan, 20, from Merseyside, was singled out to receive his green beret from the King after epitomising the commando spirit and ethos through his conversion from civilian to Royal Marine.
On 25 March the team of five green berets marched the 120 kilometers across East Falkland, carrying full kit and emulating the Arbroath Royal Marines which fought in the 1982 Falklands' conflict.
